Eight young artists from the National Academy of Arts took part in the traditional ten day seminar in wooden plastic arts in Bansko.
The event is initiated by
Winslow Developments and takes place each year with the kind cooperation of the National Academy of Arts and Bansko Municipality. The seminar took place from September 26th.The young academy authors worked under the guidance of associate prof. Petar Bonev. This year the subject, given back in the spring, was the manufacture of “Benches”. The students worked on the timber based on pre approved projects. Currently, the artwork is exhibited in the center of Bansko – in front of the community center, so it can become public knowledge for the citizens. It also pleased the local population and the tourists during the resort city gala day – October 5th. The temporary exhibition will last a week, after which the ready plastic art will decorate the green areas of the holiday lodginds, built by Winslow Developments in the architectural style, specific for Bansko, and will complete their appearance as a cozy place for complete recreation.
Winslow Developments covers all costs for the young artists' stay and provides the necessary materials. “The support of Winslow Developments for the yearly seminar in wooden plastic arts of the National Arts Academy is a logical continuation of the company policy for aiding the development of the young people. Winslow Developments has an established cultural program, as part of the company’s social responsibility, which supports young artists and talents", said Marian Beliakov, manager of the Mountain Residences chain.
